We are proud to be joined by the Korean Spirit and Culture Promotion Project in presenting a program exploring Korean food and cooking.
Korean cuisine is gaining attention throughout the world for its health benefits and delicious taste. Kimchi, for example, was nominated by Health magazine as one of the five healthiest foods in the world. Made from a blend of salted, seasoned, and fermented vegetable staples, kimchi has a rich and tangy flavor profile that makes it perfect for snacking!
In this program we will be building on those flavors to create a kimchi salad complete with greens and fruit. We will also learn more about the history and culture of Korean cooking. All materials will be provided by the library.
This will be an in-person program, complete with food assembly in the Community Room. However, the Korean Spirit and Culture Promotion Project will be joining us via Zoom. Registered attendees will have access to the Zoom stream if they would prefer to watch from home.
