Get ready to be the MVP of every holiday cookie swap! About the InstructorGrowing up in Louisiana and Texas, Martha has been in the restaurant industry since she was 16 years old. She is a graduate of the New Orleans Culinary and Hospitality Institute (NOCHI), where she was the valedictorian of her graduating class. Martha has many awards, including the Gold medal at the New Orleans Wine and Food Experience (NOWFE). Her distinct approach to delectable baked goods earned her a feature in Matt Haines' 2021 book, The Big Book of King Cake. Martha is the head chef at The Chicory House where she champions sustainability and creativity in her food. FAQ​When is check-in? Our doors open 15 minutes before the scheduled start time, and class will begin promptly. What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event You will find ample street parking and several paid parking lots in the blocks surrounding NOCHI. The streetcar also runs directly outside our building! What is your cancellation policy? Please be advised that our cancellation policy is as follows: Cancellation within 24 hours of registration: Full refundCancellation greater than 14 days before class start date: 50% refundCancellation within 14 days of class start date: No refundAll cancellation requests must be submitted in writing. Written electronic submissions are accepted. In the case of a cancellation due to a positive COVID-19 test, a refund may be issued, or your registration may be transferred to a future course for up to one (1) year. NOCHI reserves the right to cancel or postpone a class. In these cases, guests will be notified as soon as possible and no less than 1 week before the scheduled start date.
