I work on amps, I focus on tube amps and specialize in the repair and restoration of Fender tube amps. I also know the more current Hot Rod Deluxe/Deville family of amps about as well as anybody, and also their very common failures and remedies. But, I can look at just about anything: vintage, modern, tube, solid state. I can also do repairs on keyboards, effects pedals, pa and rack gear, and much more. I have the tools to do a thorough diagnostic procedure: o-scope, function generators, tube tester, many meters of various sorts, and a ton more. I like to diagnose down to component level whenever possible. I don't just guess what's wrong, I figure it out. I also have taken woodworking and guitar building and luthier classes and am able to do setups and basic repairs on acoustic and electric guitars and electric basses. I can also rewire or replace pickups, repair or replace broken hardware, as well as do other modifications. I have a basic woodshop for cabinet repairs and custom builds. My work is top notch, I take my time and treat every job with the attention and care it deserves. My rates are extremely competitive. I am about five miles outside of Black Hawk near the Peak to Peak highway, so you are going to have to come to the mountains. I don't do pickup and delivery.
