Join us as we create our own empowering New Year Vision Boards with loving community with incredible local author and pediatric nurse Alejandra Stevenson. We are so excited to partner with Kendra Scott for this event! They'll be hosting a jewelry pop up, where a portion of sales will go toward the purchase of books for children in foster care at Speak Up for Kids in Palm Beach County. All materials are provided and Bring Your Own Beverage to enjoy About the incredible author/pediatric nurse, Alejandra Pozzo Stevenson: Alejandra Pozzo Stevenson is the creator and founder of Happy Human Society, a company dedicated to publishing books that support the emotional development of children. Her mission is to empower children to become mentally healthy, happy humans. As a pediatric nurse practitioner, she constantly sees how unresolved stress negatively impacts the health of children and is committed to empower parents to become emotionally supportive of their child. As a writer, she is passionate about helping children process their emotions through stories. Originally from Peru, Alejandra currently lives in Delray Beach, Florida with her husband and two dogs. She holds a Master’s degree from Johns Hopkins University and currently works as a nurse practitioner in pediatric neurology. About the incredible organization we are serving, Speak Up for Kids: THE PROBLEM There are over 1500 children in Palm Beach County who are in need of advocacy in dependency court and programs to help them grow and succeed. Government programs and resources are stretched thin when it comes to raising a child, especially when traditional parenting roles are absorbed by foster homes. The need is almost insurmountable. OUR SOLUTION We work directly with The Guardian ad Litem program to fund courtroom advocate positions. We also fund numerous programs like Gift-A-Birthday™, Growing Grads, Celebrating YOUth, STUDENTS SUFK and Foster Palm Beach to bridge the need gap. We even help fund special request to aid reunified families stay together.
