Swapping for the Holidays will occur at the Slow Down Market on Saturday, December 17th, 2022, from 12-3 pm (EST). Please bring quality, well-maintained items, no stains, pilling, or damage. These should be items that you would be proud to gift a friend, a partner, or a family member! Accepted swap items include: Clothing ShirtsPantsShortsCoats & JacketsSweatshirts & HoodiesLoungewearActivewearSkirts & DressesAccessories HatsJewelryScarvesBeltsSunglassesPursesItems Slotted for Donation/Recycling ShoesItems that are not in swappable shape*Please note that undergarments will not be accepted for swapping or textile recycling. And if you are eager to get a head start on the swap, drop them off at the Slow Down Market on Black Friday, November 25th. You will receive tickets for your swap items (tickets will not be provided for items slotted for donation/recycling) and a discount from Tribute for 10% off your purchases. But don't forget to still register for Swapping for the Holidays event on December 17th to secure your spot! Joining us on December 17th will be Holly Thompson (Zero Waste campaign associate, U.S. PIRG) and Streetsmart Tailoring! Holly Thompson will provide tips about upcycling and mending. Streetsmart Tailoring will offer information on tailoring your wardrobe. We will also have information about sustainably gift-wrapping your new swaps.
