NBNPA has served as an advocate for the promotion of diversity, inclusion and equity in the attainment of graduate education among African American nurses. It is imperative that all medical/healthcare organizations and community stakeholders commit to a participatory, proactive role in ensuring a diverse and culturally sensitive health workforce exist that reflects the needs of all communities. NBNPA scholarships serve as a financial conduit to encourage, financially support and enhance the number of minority nurses who successfully matriculate with a Masters, PhD or DNP degree to serve as advance practice nurses (APRN). NBNPA invites you to participate in a very monumental event. We are hosting our 5th annual Scholarship Presentation on December 10, 2022, to secure funds that will provide financial assistance to nurse practitioner students who will help fulfill the healthcare shortage and assist with increasing diversity within the healthcare systems.
