Who should attend?
Handgun novice. Someone with little experience with firearms, or drawing from a holster. Someone with no formal holster training. If you’re already very experienced with handgun drawing and shooting, this is not the class for you.
This three-hour class offers proven methods of:
safely drawing a handgun from the holster, either on the hip, or in front of the hip bones (AIWB)quickly getting an effective hit on targetsafely re-holstering the gunWe will begin by practicing the 4-step draw without live fire, focusing on safety, efficiency, and repeatability. We'll then apply this in live-fire drills aimed at delivering one or two shots quickly and reliably.
How to arrive: *No unsupervised gun handling.*
Please bring your unloaded handgun still in the case or the bag to the range.
If the gun is already in the holster on your body, leave it there, regardless of whether it’s loaded or unloaded.
Absolutely no guns out of holsters or cases except at the direction of the instructor.
Required Equipment:
* Safe and reliable handgun
* Non-collapsing belt holster (only strong side or in front of hip bones (AIWB))
* At least one magazine, preferably two.
* Eye and ear protection
* Brimmed hat
* 50 rounds of ammo NOTE: This is a beginner class. Only basic familiarity with firearm safety and your handgun is required.
Some Loaner pistols with holsters and magazine pouches available at no charge, but you must use my ammo. I will have 9mm and .22 ammo available.
What to wear:
