Come grab a glass of wine, create your own simmer jar combinations and feel free to mingle after going over the basics of dehydrating goods. What is a simmer jar? Also known as a simmer pot, it is a combination of citrus, herbs, florals and spices used to create an aromatic experience throughout your home and is a great alternative to the toxic fumes in candles. They are a fabulous (and natural) way to use up kitchen scraps and fill your space with cozy smells! All you have to do is empty contents of the jar into a small pot (or slow cooker), bring to a boil before simmering on low for a few hours at a time. These make great gifts! In this workshop, you will learn how to create your very own stovetop simmer jars at home! We will go over a handful of techniques from slicing to dehydrating goods to packaging. Each guest will be able to create three (3) custom blends from a variety of prepped, dried goods to take home in beautiful glass jars! A small gift wrapping station will be availble as well if you plan on gifting any! I will have additional pre-filled jars for sale as well.
