Guard Retirees and Guests We are excited to be hosting our Veterans Stand Down yearly Round Up for all prior attendees and guests at the American Legion Auten-Stowe Post 144 for a luncheon at 11:30 AM on Friday December 16h. We are inviting our Guard Family to come and share fellowship with other Veterans during this Holiday season. Our Veterans Stand Down Team will have assistance tables for Veterans Issues (claims), The Patriot Plan, The Veterans Heart Group, Healing Heroes (Lab Pups for Veterans) legislative updates on N.C. property tax exemptions, and increase of Widows benefits, SBP/DIC offsets. Certified Veteran Service Officers will be on site to provide guidance for Veterans to the proper agency. Spouses are encouraged to attend as any person who has Tricare-for-Life is entitled to these benefits in addition to potential benefits to spouses of veterans with VA disabilities.
