Seeking Bass Player

We are a mostly original rock band looking to replace our bass player--who moved--called The Hot and Heavies. We have a solid hour of original material and have recorded four songs thus far, and have plans to record more as soon as we find a bassist. We are looking for someone to come in and learn the existing songs (at first), but are 100% pro-collaboration, meaning if you have stuff you’ve written, we are down to incorporate it once we’ve finished going through the existing material. To be clear, we don’t expect you to play exactly what our old bass player did--you have freedom to put your own spin on the parts. We do play some covers, but we try to move them in and out to keep it fresh. Right now, we rehearse every week on Sunday from 4-6 at the Band Barracks near 45 and 610 South. We are somewhat open to changing the time, but that seems to work well. When our bass player left we were playing every 4-6 weeks. The places we regularly play include the Big Top, Bohemeos, Red Dwarf and Catbirds--basically, inside the loop. If you’re interested, check out our Instagram page, @thehotandheavies.
