"My First Quilt" - Great for Beginners; Create a 34x39” quilt; Meet other beginner quilters. ****ATTENTION: this class will be held at 3460 WEST CAREFREE***** This class is for beginner quilters who are interested in learning how to make a quilt from start to finish. In five classes, we will teach you how to cut, piece, construct, quilt, and bind your very first quilt! This is a 5-week class and attendance for each week is imperative as classes build on one another. Fabric for the top and batting included in cost. Students will need to purchase binding fabric and backing. Each class is 2 1/2 hrs. Supplies to bring from home: A sewing machine in working order 1/4" quilting foot rotary cutter 6x24” or 8x24” quilting ruler And any notions and accessories that you may need (i.e. scissor, thread, seam ripper, etc) Class dates are: Week 1: Friday, January 29th; Introduction, receive materials, and instructions, begin construction; Week 2: Wednesday, February 5th; Cutting, piecing, construction; Week 3: Wednesday, February 19th; Continue construction; Week 4: Wednesday, February 26th; Machine quilting; Week 5: Wednesday, March 5th; Binding and Show & Tell.
