Please note that our ticketed tables are not assigned and are instead available on a first come, first served basis. -------------------------- A modern pioneer among Latina performers, Hinojosa’s debut 1989 album, Homeland, was informed by the trans-border sounds and stories she heard growing up as one of 13 children of Mexican immigrant parents. Its 1992 follow-up, Culture Swing, put her on the map nationally, paving the way for an all-Spanish endeavor (Frontejas) and further recordings. A frequent performer at the Kerrville Folk Festival and Austin’s showcase songwriters’ venues, she also performed for President Bill Clinton and First Lady Hillary Clinton, among other distinctions. She continues to record, with 2018’s West being her latest release. If one can imagine a fusion of Lydia Mendoza and Patty Griffin, then Tish Hinojosa might be that talent.
