Description

Looking to learn the basics of creating a delicious meal in a fun and friendly, environment? Let'z Eat is the perfect cooking class for you! In this class, Let'z Eat Some Appetizers, you will learn how to prepare four different quick and easy dishes: mediterranean flat bread pizza, mushroom caps stuffed with Italian sausage and cream cheese, grilled pork tenderloin bruschetta, and crispy "fab crab" appetizers. This class is part of a new cooking class series taught by Lenexan John Thomsen. Let'z Eat! is unlike many other cooking classes that may intimidate you. These two-hour in-person classes are intended for beginner-level cooks. Each class will focus on a different cooking theme, such as: Asian cuisine, comfort food, appetizers, pastas, soups and salads, and more. During class, attendees will observe step-by-step preparation and cooking of all items included in the course. Thomsen will demonstrate with ingredients that are readily available at any local supermarket, and the best part is that there’s no special equipment needed. That means if you have a stove, an oven, and a microwave, you can take these skills from the classroom back home. Thomsen will provide you with the basic knowledge to prepare and execute a delicious meal at home that is sure to impress any of your guests. Note: For insurance purposes, these are not hands-on classes. Attendees will watch, learn and taste-test only. The classes will also include food to munch on during class, "Johnny’s cheap tricks," and a focus on a specific food element that is being prepared that evening. Samples of each item will be handed out in class for you to enjoy and to ask questions. Each attendee will get to take home the recipes for all items presented. Each class will have a10-minute break at “half-time” for you to get a beverage refill or just to stretch your legs. You can purchase alcoholic beverages from Topp’d Pizza and Salads or Chewology in the Public Market and enjoy them throughout the class. Water will be provided. Check out the other classes he has to offer on our Eventbrite listings. All participants must agree to the Hold Harmless Agreement shown in the class signup portal. Please be advised that all items prepared may contain food allergens. Including peanuts and nut products. Please do not participate if you have ANY adverse reactions to allergen-prone items.
