Job Description Summary: Pinpoint is seeking a fabricator/carpenter that is detail-oriented, can problem solve, and has a diverse set of building skills. From custom fabrications for brand activations to building cabinets for signs or displays, you will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of fabrication from ideation, material sourcing, machine operation, and prioritizing project timelines while working with a team of professionals to meet client and company goals. Primary Responsibilities: • Responsible for all aspects of fabrication including building, laminating, assembly, ideation, project planning, material suggestions, prioritizing tasks, and if necessary, installation at the customer job site • Responsible for the operation of production equipment including a laser cutter, vinyl plotter, a summa flatbed cutter/router, laminator, and similar machines • Responsible for reading and understanding assembly instructions, project plans, and spec drawings to determine material needs, fabrication time required, and cost estimating • Responsible for providing status updates to the management team to communicate project progress, concerns, and timelines • Manage and correct any problems with projects and orders in a timely and professional manner Skills and requirements needed to succeed: • Minimum 5 years of fabrication experience related to event displays, signage, carpentry, or brand activations • Experience with power tools and wood shop-related equipment • Willingness to travel for installation projects as needed • Moderate proficiency with Microsoft Office preferred • Experience with estimating projects, cost savings strategies, and knowledge of basic math • Ability to provide creative yet practical solutions to problems in the production shop and on job sites • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment that requires rapid turn-around times and focus • Ability to efficiently and comfortably work in high-elevated environments • Ability to easily lift 50lbs • OSHA 10 Certified, lift operator certified, and DOT medical card • Has a clean driving record with the capability to drive a company vehicle • Detail-oriented, with a high level of accuracy and exceptional organizational and project management skills • High energy, yet level-headed personality with a “can-do” attitude Who this job is not right for: • Someone who does not play well with others. • Someone who has a sense of entitlement. • Someone who says one thing yet does something else. • Someone who focuses more on their job title than the required task at hand. • Someone who is always quick to think and say why something cannot be done.
