Nearly all business leaders expect to be hit by a crisis in the future, with 69% having experienced at least one crisis in the last five years. A crisis can take many forms, from public safety to cyber breaches, environmental problems, sexual harassment charges, product recalls, social media mishaps, or budget shortfalls that could lead to layoffs and product or service decline.
With a crisis comes an onslaught of media attention. In her presentation, “They’re Here!” Chata M. Spikes, director of Public Affairs for the City of Atlanta Police Department, will share tips and techniques for dealing with the media during a crisis."
Spikes will be the guest speaker at the South Georgia PRSA annual meeting from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 15, at Coleman | Talley, 109 S. Ashley Street, Valdosta.
Seating is limited. Ticket prices are $20 for PRSA members and $25 for non-members.
