It’s Back! February 19 the Earned Sick Time Act in Michigan will reappear, Are you Ready? Do you have 10 Employees or more? What’s your Strategy?
In July, the Michigan Court of Claims restored the Earned Sick Time Act and the Improved Workforce Opportunity Wage Act as they were originally adopted in 2018. If this decision is upheld, the ruling will have a significant impact on employers. There are many questions we need answered yet, but as of today employers will be required to adopt the ESTA and IWOWA in February of 2023. We will discuss the differences between the Earned Sick Time Act and the current Paid Medical Leave Act, focusing on strategies for developing policies and for communicating these changes to your employees.
