The Flat Glass Specialist is a key member of our team who spends the most time with our customers and needs to represent our company well. The specialist is responsible for giving accurate estimates, quality and efficient installations of flat glass, insulated glass units, and shower glass. Our ideal candidate has a desire to be part of a close-knit hard-working family. They should possess outstanding communication skills, true multi-tasking experience and a willingness to learn all aspects of our business. Our most successful teammates in this position have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent. The best fit will have experience in carpentry or general remodeling. Job Responsibilities: Conduct accurate field measuring. Measure, sell and install glass shower doors. Replace broken patio and business doors. Install glass, mirrors, door and window hardware in replacement installations. Cut flat glass and mirrors according to specified dimensions and patterns. Ensure efficient use of materials and installation supplies. Maintain adequate stock in our shop and vehicle. Collect payment from customers. Keep company vehicle and equipment property serviced, clean and in good working condition. Complete invoices, work orders, and measurement sheets via a tablet-based technology. Specific Requirements: Prior experience in flat glass work/shower door installation is a plus. However, if you have worked construction, we can train you to work with glass! Accurately read tape measures and levels. Physical ability to lift heavy objects, work with ladders, scaffolding and related equipment required for glass installation. Proficiency to navigate tablet-based technology. Excellent communication and problem solving skills. Professional appearance and personality. Customer service focused. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Must have a valid driver’s license. $40,000 to $48,000 annually based on experience. We are a small company that is growing!
