Description
"Run For Cover" is an established DC 90s/2000’s cover band. Our current bassist is stepping down to focus on his original project, and we are looking for someone to fill his shoes starting in 2023. Promo video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZUO8ppDTh98 Here is a little of what we are looking for… -We are looking for a permanent long term replacement. We are not looking for a short term or temporary member who just gigs with us for a couple of months and who plays with a half dozen other groups. -We gig very regularly. Must be comfortable with up to 50 or 60 gigs per year. Having regular weekend availability is a must. We have a shared calendar we use to communicate availability which is used to communicate with bookers, and most gigs are booked months in advance. All gigs are paid. -We are a high energy rock band, all between the ages of 25-35. With us having an upbeat show, stage presence is super important. We want someone who is able to put on a high energy performance and work a crowd. -We all use IEM’s (which are provided), so we need someone who can be comfortable performing with them. We also run all songs with a click/accompanying tracks for synth/aux instruments, so being familiar with that kind of workflow is a huge plus. -We perform with a large rack DI rig (also provided), so must be comfortable using our existing wireless Fractal rig for bass processing. All you need to provide is the bass guitar itself. -We would also love someone who is able to contribute to backing vocals and harmonies. This is a plus, but not a requirement. -You must be able to memorize roughly 50-60 songs, pretty standard for the average cover band. -We don't mind a beer or two on stage, but we expect that alcohol will not negatively affect your performance or attitude. -Must be able to show up on time, and contribute with load in and load out. We are a team, and we expect everybody to pitch in when it comes to setup and teardown. Gigs can last until 1:30AM depending on the night, so you must be comfortable with late nights. -Most importantly, we want someone we all get along with since we spend a ton of time together on stage. We want someone with a fun, outgoing, and positive attitude every time they are on stage.
