Description

ASL Friends is happy to announce that neuropsychologist Dr. Paul Nussbaum will present a 90-minute Keynote Address on the "Miracle of the Human Brain" to the Marco Island Community on January 17th, 2023 beginning at 4:30pm. Dr. Nussbaum will teach the basics of brain behavior relations and how to keep the brain healthy across the lifespan. He will share his Brain Health Lifestyle® to help delay onset of conditions such as dementia. The event will be held at the Mackle Park Community Center and all proceeds will benefit ASL Friends. The mission of ASL Friends is to promote language acquisition for young deaf children, while supporting family communication, through early educational programming in American Sign Language (ASL) such as "Mister Rogers' ASL Friends.” As language development for all humans is critically important to brain health, we are excited that Dr. Nussbaum will be speaking on this important topic. The lecture will be interpreted into ASL. ASL Friends is a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization. Any funds solicited for ASL Friends are not being solicited by, nor on behalf of Fred Rogers Productions.
