Small Historic Preservation Contracting Firm Seeks Laborers & Trades Persons
This is a unique opportunity to work in multiple disciplines on National Historic Register Buildings; however the position does require strenuous manual labor
Qualifications
• One year of experience working in carpentry, painting, plaster, or masonry.
• Able to work from ladders and scaffolding and help in their setup and takedown
• Able to work outdoors in various types of weather and in non-conditioned interiors
• Able to lift/carry 50 lbs
• Willing and able to follow instructions from supervisors and comply with all company safety and personnel policies/protocols.
• Must be willing to travel to all job sites with valid driver’s license/dependable transportation.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift minimum of 50 pounds.
• Major attributes of this position are reliability, punctuality (must show up on time) and professionalism; ability to work overtime as needed.
• Must be 18 years of age
• Able to work as part of a team to complete projects.
Duties
• paint prep
• sanding
• epoxy application
• historic window repair
• masking, caulking, and painting.
• masonry & monument repair, setting and cleaning
• historic framing and trim carpentry
• digging and pouring footings and foundations
Compensation based on experience. Starting at $22 per hour
