Launched in 1999 from its permanent home at Empire Polo Field in Indio, Calif., the earliest installments of the Coachella Music Festival featured jam-packed lineups over a single weekend, before eventually making the move to two full weekends in 2012 in order to be better able to accommodate ever-growing demand. Accordingly, Coachella lineups over the years have been comprised of a mix of artists offering a little something for everyone.
