Join us on Thursday, December 8 at the Kroc Center (424 Westfield Street in Greenville) for our December Lunch & Learn featuring Chris Moylan from Prisma Health. Chris will be speaking about bringing more attention to mental health therapies that he is providing for teens and adolescents. Many times mental health therapy is not prioritized as highly as other forms of interventions for teenagers and adolescents with ASD. Also, many psychologists won't work with youth with Autism, because they feel they don't have the skillset or experience. Chris is working to fill those gaps because he has experience in both, but he is also working to show other psychologist that they can and are able to provide these services as well. Chris will then talk about the individuals who benefit the most from these services, and how to identify those individuals. Chris will also elaborate on what the referral and intake process is like. Then Chris will discuss which adaptations, materials and strategies he implements with individuals who are receiving treatment. A lot of parents or other providers may not understand how beneficial mental health therapy can be for ASD teens or adolescents with co-morbid Autism Spectrum Disorder and other Mental Health disorders. So we invite you to learn more about the incredible work Chris is doing.
These events are free however, registration is required. Lunch will be generously provided by Carolina Drive In.
You can attend the event either in-person or virtually. The Zoom link will be sent out 30 - 60 min prior to the event.
