However he didn't realize the high importance of weight training until he was about 23 and paying the price for playing with maximum effort without taking the time to build up his stabilizing muscles, joints, etc. to handle the load I was placing his body under. Fast forward to age 35, he joined an MMA gym & absolutely fell in love with the sport & fitness necessities behind it! Then 2020 happened & nearly every gym got shut down! So, he did the only thing he could - started "Garage Gym". Mark invited neighbors & friends to come work out in his garage or in a grassy area near him and got familiar with coming up with as many bodyweight, band, & self defense workouts as he could think of!Eventually everything opened back up, & the MMA gym that he had attended asked him to come teach Kickboxing, Muay Thai, and Boxing classes for them.
