ATI has a current need for a full-time Skilled Grounds Maintenance Laborer with responsibilities and experience for the general upkeep, landscape maintenance, general building maintenance, and beautification of the facility. The majority of work will be conducted outdoors and may be physically demanding. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud at times. Grounds Maintenance Laborers are responsible for performance in the following areas: • Operate equipment including lawn tractor, Z-turn mowers, push mowers, chain saws, trimmers, trucks, and forklift; • Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; • Perform minor maintenance and repairs to grounds equipment; • Maintain grass and shrubs to levels specified and as directed; • Trim and/or remove trees as directed; • Perform minor repairs to the grounds as directed; • Use various portable tools; • Assist in the completion of on demand/specialized work or projects; • Perform repairs to perimeter fence; • Maintain perimeter road; • Clear station and pond drains; • Perform furniture move/add/change orders; • Perform snow removal duties; and • Work with minimal supervision. Candidate Requirements: • Clean Driving Record (must provide DOB, SS#, DL#, etc., upon request); • Valid Driver s License; • Pass background check - requires a CLEAN background history; • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds on a regular basis; • Pass pre-employment physical; • Pass pre-employment and/or random non-DOT drug and alcohol screening; and • Some experience as a trades helper, laborer, or any equivalent combination of training and experience. The ideal candidate must possess a minimum of one year relevant experience as specified above. Requires the ability to secure Government site access in a timely manner – requires a CLEAN background history. Experience at a Government facility is a plus but not required. ATI offers a competitive benefit package including paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave. Work hours are normally between the hours of 0600 - 1400 Monday through Friday totaling 40 hours per week (subject to change based on season). Must be available for weekends and evening hours for snow removal. Job Type: Full-time Salary: $17.44 - $21.85 per hour Experience: 1 Year (Required)
