Starting original death metal band

I am a 34 year old guitarist looking to start an original death metal band. I can do vocals but prefer to do guitars and backing vocals. Let's write and record an EP and maybe an LP if things go smoothly enough then we can think about doing a few live gigs. I have a full time day job so this will be a very relaxed project that we can work on over the weekends. My influences are Cannibal Corpse, Nile, Behemoth, Tomb Mold, Blood Incantation, you get the idea. I'm 420 friendly, if you do anything harder than that please don't reply. Alcohol is fine too if you can refrain from being belligerent. I take a very DIY approach to making music since I'm cheap and not keen on spending big bucks for a studio.
