Gardner Pilot Academy students and faculty cordially invite you to be a guest reader at our annual “Give the Gift of Reading” celebration on Wednesday, December 21st from 9:00-10:30 AM. Please RSVP by December 9th. This year, we are very excited that Makeda Mays Green, Senior Vice President, Cultural And Digital Consumer Insights for Nickelodeon will be our keynote speaker. We are so grateful to our many partners, supporters, and friends of Gardner Pilot Academy that make our school a high-quality community hub school. This event is a chance to welcome you back into our classrooms as well as join us as we officially open our brand-new library!After a welcome breakfast and ribbon cutting for our new library, guests will visit a classroom to read a book aloud and talk with students about the value of reading. You are welcome to bring one of your favorites to share or you can choose from one of the books provided.With your help, we know that this event will highlight the joys and magic that reading can provide no matter your age. At GPA, all students from K0 through 8th grade are expected to read or be read to every day. Hearing this message from others outside our classroom walls will have a lasting impact on our students.
