Create a Holiday Special for Local Television! This two-day, eight-hour workshop gives kids between 4th and 12th grade the opportunity to plan, produce, and star in a holiday special at their local television studio. Students will work together to script, film, and perform in short holiday-themed video stories of their own design. These video segments will be compiled into a half-hour television special that will be broadcast on local television and viewable by households throughout the Bay Area. Technical skills that students will practice include: Studio Camera OperationLight DesignSound DesignScene WritingOn-Camera PerformancePost-Production Video EditingWe'll also prioritize making new friends, building artistic confidence, and leaning into the holiday spirit! Space is very limited, so sign up early! Thorough COVID precautions will be taken to ensure the health and safety of our students, including frequent hand santization, surface cleaning, social distancing, and masks required when not in front of the camera. Snacks will be provided, but students are encouraged to pack a lunch.
