The agenda is as follows: 7:30AM - 8:00 AM Check-in 8:00AM - 9:00 AM Dr. Joe Neal- Avoiding Herbicide Injury in Landscape Plantings 9:00AM - 10:00 AM Sam Marshall- Emerging Insect Pests for WNC 10:00AM - 11:30PM Dr. Barb Fair- Pruning Demo 11:30AM - 12:00PM Sarah Christas and Cari Mitchell- On the Job Resources 12PM - 12:45PM LUNCH 12:45PM -1:15PM Dr. Terri Billeisen– Controlling Fire Ants in the Landscape 1:15PM - 2:00PM Eric Ball, NCDA- What to Expect When Inspected 2PM - 4PM Laurie with Small Business Center of Wilkes Community College- Managing and Maintaining Employees and How to Secure Professional Services (i.e Accountants, Lawyers, HR Manager, etc.) This meeting offers 5 technical credits, 2 business credits, and 3 pesticide credits in the L, N, D, X, and 1 credit in the H category. Attendance will be taken at the end of the course. No partial credit is given if attendees leave early.
