The BIPOC+ Coalition is in partnership with schools across central and south-central Iowa including Central College, Drake University, Grand View University, Simpson College, and William Penn University. Through interaction with students from our BIPOC+ Coalition institutions, you will have the opportunity to learn about, understand, and discuss identity and its impact on and relation to your college experience. Our discussion in February will focus on mental health and how it impacts your college experience, followed by a skating session at the Brenton Skating Plaza. BIPOC+ Community Conversation: 10:00 - 11:30 am Brenton Plaza Skating/Lunch : 12:00 - 1:30 PM Directions for transportation will be made through your institution*** We invite those of all backgrounds no matter race, religion, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, and/or identification to participate in this event. We aim to foster respectful, brave, and safer spaces where all can share their truths and lived experiences while encouraging and supporting each other through tough conversations.
