I haven't played In years. All the family members that I played cards with have passed on. Canasta was a three generation event at my grand parents house during Christmas break. I never learned euchre or cribbage. I watched the adults play but never figured it out. Dad and Grandma emptied many a PBR playing. It was great to "listen in". I don't want to play UNO.
So many replies and so many memories. I think the appeal is remembering who we were with rather than the game itself. Actual face to face socializing. No cell phones, computers, with cyber games and social media. Today more people are staring and thumbing their phone than communicating with people in their presence. Is this post hypocritical?
