I agree 100%! People don't want to put in the work....AND they're missing out on possibly a really good band (imagine that! Lord knows they are few and far between in this area!) Worse yet is existing bands that advertise for 1 missing piece and then try to mold you into what they want once you join.. BIG MISSED OPPORTUNITY! they should work WITH the new member... see what you bring to the table, what your strengths are..see what ideas you have! THAT'S how you end up with a really good band! I've met MANY bands that have one or two members who think they have the "vision" for the band... make all the decisions, tell you what to do, try to be the leader... most of the time they aren't nearly as talented as they THINK they are and they have a mediocre band at best! They end up having good musicians quit the band.. unless all band members are so easy going that they let 1 person boss them around!! not me!!
