All Things Aquatic is hiring a full-time Aquarium Service Technician to join our growing team! This position is 5 days per week and entails driving to client’s homes and businesses to maintain saltwater and freshwater aquariums, equipment, livestock, and water quality. Routine services provided include water testing, tank and equipment cleaning, as well as aquarium controller setup, programming, and troubleshooting. Additional services include installing new aquariums and equipment, breaking down and relocating existing aquariums, aquascaping, acclimating fish and coral, upgrading systems, setting up water mixing stations, and building fish rooms. Occasional projects such as plumbing and upgrading systems in the store are also part of this position. Our storefront is in Foxboro, MA, but we service customers all over Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Average weekly earnings for this position range from $800-$1200 based on number of billable hours worked. We are looking for someone who is highly motivated and passionate about this highly specialized industry. Requirements: Experience setting up and maintaining saltwater and freshwater aquariums Experience working at an aquarium store, public aquarium, aquarium maintenance company, and/or extensive hobby experience or higher education in Marine Science Must have your own reliable vehicle and a valid US Driver’s License Must be legally able to work in the United States Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds Strong knowledge of inhabitants of freshwater and saltwater aquariums and animal husbandry Knowledge of saltwater coral and freshwater aquatic plants is a plus Key Attributes: Dependable and punctual Customer service oriented Detail oriented and creative thinker Prepared and organized Problem Solver Organized Benefits: Pay above industry average Fuel/travel compensation Employee discount All Things Aquatic is one of the newest and fastest growing aquarium stores in New England and one of the largest aquarium stores (if not THE largest) in Massachusetts.
