Helpful healing humble human talk touch & movement in conversation in practicing intention & play helpfully with humility & confidence & care for humans & as practitioners. Yoga Massage Academy teaches helpful healing healthy touch talk & movement both as a base or addition for those who wish to make a part of their service business of offerings AND to anyone wanting to be better, more comfortable, & more helpful human body beings as lovers, as friends, as family, brothers, sisters, fathers, mothers, sons, & daughters, as human body beings in use as what they and what we are, and to have access to using the wholeness of what we be as body mind heart communicating moving and touching beings in alignment & in relationship helpfully. YMA prides itself on teaching & cultivating a care for the context of being humble gracious & connected via conscious communication and usefully used skills cultivated around creating truly helpful touch and movement, we promote a philosophy for our clients while working with them of being with our clients in communication & relationship with them a typical intake conversation will include a conversational context as a communication between our nervous systems. YMA is interested in what is now affectionately called "woo woo" and at YMA we may encourage folks to dive into depths of special powers connecting to spirit and developing extra sensory perception, and even find folks who can lead and teach that ALSO for the course of the "4DAY YMA Basic Certification Training" we're more interested in learning & teaching what comes from listening to more subtle sounds, movements ,and honest relationship and communication to be a transfer of something clients can through a session or a series of sessions develop and cultivate with their practitioner for their own healing and cross over into their own lives and relationships. Sidenotes & nuance #1)certainly we can be & I am in practice often of working by a type of inspiration that is difficult to explain but I'll attempt to this way, I have found myself ,many times and more and more so as myself and a client are speaking at the beginning of a session suddenly seeing some position(s) that I feel drawn to put them in or on a piece of furniture or object that they have in their home of even at a park I know of near their home that I feel drawn to for us to use in certain ways that I seem to "see", & #2) also, to be honest certainly there have been moments of seeming miraculous extra sensory connections and evidence that it's happened gratefully & in great ways. Rudimentarily YMA in its courses it teaches: --Memorized sequences, this gives new practitioners some sort of focus or scaffolding or structure perhaps a sort of skeleton or a runway to build on and to use when one is new to this offering along with some helpful ways to communicate when one is new to their practice. --More deeply YMA leads one to switch from memorization mode to let go of sequences and to being more helpful in connecting without assumptions specifically, and in regards to the communication of the situation with one's specific client’s bodies’ ways of communicating via tension or smoothness of movements and vocalization of words or more nonverbal sounds. YMA courses are themselves fun sacred immersions into body communicating beings of service. There is some hard work involved, lots of wonderful giving & receiving too, tons of playful fun, & insights for you to take with you into your life as a human body mind heart being moving touching & interacting, as well as as communicators communicating with connecting supportive vocal words, non verbal sounds, intention, skills, and movements. ((Sidenote: about tradition, YogaMassageAcademy teaches in its memorization of a sequence of what is traditionally known as what is a common Thai Yoga Massage sequences, and of course, we love Thailand & the rich heritage of that land and the culture of "Thai Massage" and we encourage anyone of our students to if they want use those words and the traditional Thai Massage decor art and clothing that they want to, that said we do distinguish ourselves as specifically by our name more basically "Yoga Massage", this sometimes has people asking "what's yoga massage?" or "what’s the difference between Thai Massage & Yoga Massage?". To answer this we as an academy will to say that technically historically to us philosophically it doesn’t matter too much, and though that is true, also it is cool to as note and know history and to point out that history has it that "thai massage" actually originally originated from India, all that said the real reason that as a business and a service we call it “Yoga Massage” is that we want to focus on the practice itself as a yoga (union/alignment/uniting), as a devotion, as a bhakti, or as a part of a yoga/yogic lifestyle of a way to make a meaningful difference with, and the development of that as a broad goal for all attending, for our clients of course, and also for ourselves of course, but also even more broadly and perhaps dreamily and idealistically being as a culture at large to be beyond being a service based business and towards being a natural gift of human cultural communal inheritance.)) ——- If interested in this event, we have an awesome application, limited amount of spots & lots of interest so if interested check it out, go through the process and enjoy the process. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe9N9OwFUbU9EDOwf3NvrYHTTPtWpAarZu2ZJD2lrC6zIYQ8Q/viewform?usp=sf_link ------- As for pay it can be a few different ways including VENMO & here's the eventbrite page too
