Trailblazers Walk: Miami Woods

Join us to explore Miami Woods as we walk along the North Branch of the Chicago River. There are typically deer grazing and in view all along the trails here. Difficulty level: The walk will be at a moderate pace on paved bike trails. Parking/Meeting location: Park at the end of the lot near the foot of the bridge that spans Caldwell Ave. We'll meet near the bench & map/information sign. Meet your volunteer guide: Diane has a lifelong interest in nature and has been a volunteer with the Forest Preserves of Cook County since 2019. Her particular area of focus is on native plants and the collection and sowing of native plant seeds in conjunction with the North Branch Restoration Project. As an avid hiker, she has formed and led fitness hiking groups for 10+ years. What to bring/wear: Water, weather appropriate clothing and good walking shoes/boots. This event is free, but please register to secure your spot.
