Mālama Mushrooms x Exploring Within x DJ Akadia presents... MYCELIATE: Movement, Music, & Mushrooms. Come celebrate the medicine of movement, music, and mushrooms through an immersive silent disco experience in nature. Hosted on a beautiful private coffee farm Holualoa, this event was designed to inspire joy, well-being, freedom, belonging, acceptance, community, authentic expression, and deep connections to self, others, and nature. MYCELIATE is an opportunity to connect & explore our wise & wild nature. Join us ~on December 18th from 4:00 PM-7:00 PM~ on a beautiful outdoor dance floor in paradise, as we connect, learn, & dance freely in nature with noise-canceling wireless headsets to restore our minds, bodies, and hearts with movement, music, and mushrooms and as our medicine. Beneath our feet, grows a rich underground network of fungi that allows plants to communicate called mycelium. Mycelia is a critical part of ecosystems, as these fungal connections enable plants and mushrooms who may be widely separated to support one another by sharing nutrients & information. Mycelium helps plants feed each other, grow together, and flourish together. We humans are not much different. We’re all more interconnected than we think. We need each other to grow, to learn, to feel, to heal, and to thrive. By being part of a community, we elevate ourselves and those around us. Their mission is to share the health & wellness benefits of superfood mushrooms with the world. Benjamin Lillibridge (CEO, Founder & Funguy) will be leading a mushroom workshop. Benjamin began as an agriculturist & environmental scientist seeking to make a positive impact on the world & the people that occupy it. Did you know fungi can break down plastics & other harmful pollutants to remediate polluted water & soil? Or that some of the world's most important medicines, from both traditional cultures and western pharmacology are fungi derived? There is a growing body of scientific studies emerging on mushrooms like Lion's Mane for helping cognition & nerve growth, and reishi for stress & immunity, & Ben has devoted his life to learning more and sharing the wisdom of mushrooms with the world. The Exploring Within journey is facilitated by Bri Torres, who combines dance/movement therapy for a holistic and immersive journey of inner and outer exploration. Each Exploring Within journey is a uniquely guided movement meditation & powerful collective experience held in nature. We hold a safe space for you to move and dance however you please, for there is no right or wrong way. Allow yourself to be moved by the music. Unleash your inner child. Trust yourself as you explore new movements. Exploring Within will free you to listen to your own body, flow with your emotions, and connect with your inner self, nature, and the world around you on a deeper level.
