Description

Over the past several years, wildfires have become more prevalent throughout California. More than ever, volunteer help is needed to assist animal owners and emergency responders to save our Central Valley's animals during fire season. In 2022, CCADT responded to the Oak Fire in Mariposa County - the worst in the county's history. In September, we responded to the Fork Fire in Madera County. As a responder, you may be eligible to respond throughout the Central Valley. In addition, CCADT is being requested to help counties throughout CA. We responded to the Camp Fire in Paradise, the Lightening Complex Fire in Solano County, and the Caldor Fire in El Dorado county. This 16-hour training program is the ONLY recruitment event for new volunteers being offered in our counties of Mariposa, Madera, Fresno, Merced, and Kings. This training will teach you the basic skills needed to respond in the counties that we serve. For new and current volunteers, continuing educational workshops will be offered throughout the year. During this training, you will meet current volunteers and hear speakers from emergency response agencies.
