Another fun plant native plant celebration. We'll process saltbush leaves into powdered green salt for the first hour. We'll cook "desert edamame" from our State Tree, the Paloverde. We'll do a taste test of several desert foods. Learn how to identify, when to harvest, and how to prepare these desert foods and others. Then we'll do a neighborhood plant walk featuring 15 medicinal and edible plants. Take home a bag of frozen "desert edamame" to enjoy at home. Wheelchair accessible except I don't have a ramp to the front door. So please bring your own ramp if you have one or we can tilt and lift you into the front room. Please fill out my Liability Waiver form within 24 hours of registering. Here is the form for you to fill out electronically on your computer. It is required for all attendees: https://forms.gle/83fMkVdtMmT9TXag8 This must be filled out immediately when you register and with the actual name of each person attending. Otherwise, your spot will be opened for someone on the wait list. The form asks for your name, email, and cell phone in case I'd need to text you with event information. There are several boxes to check. Then you put your signature on the bottom by typing in your name. Then make sure to hit the Submit button. This waiver confirms that you will not sue me, my company, or the property owner or his company even if you are injured or die from this activity. (very unlikely!) And it confirms that it is okay to take photos or videos of you while at the event and use them in social media.
