Job Description Bass Computers is looking for a qualified Assistant Warehouse Manager The ideal candidate will be required to assist the Warehouse Manager in the daily operations of receiving, shipping and general warehouse responsibilities. Must be self-motivated, hardworking and have warehouse experience. This is a full-time position. Responsibilities: • Assist the Warehouse Manager to ensure timely and accurate shipping and receiving of all orders throughout the day • Warehouse responsibilities include receiving merchandise from vendors, pulling products for customers, and following company procedures • Perform general labor warehouse work related to receipt, shipment, storage, distribution, or delivery of products and materials • Load, unload and move store inventory; establish and maintain designated work and storage areas as needed • Count items received or shipped and check against packing lists • Prepare materials for shipment, including boxing, palletizing, wrapping, etc. • Responsible for keeping a current inventory • Work in a fast pace environment with a high focus on safety and customer service • May use any or all of the following equipment: shelving, racks, bins, pallets, carts, labeling equipment, computers, bar-code scanning equipment, and telephone systems • Practice safe warehouse procedures, identify potential hazards and make recommendations for any improvements • Operate forklift, pallet jacks, and other warehouse tools and equipment as necessary • Assist in ensuring operation excellence across operations at the facility • Additional responsibilities and duties as assigned by Warehouse Manager Skills: • 5 years warehouse experience in shipping or receiving • Experience with shipping orders through UPS and FedEx • Bilingual speaking preferred • Strong oral communication skills • Detail-oriented • Team player who can work with minimal supervision • General understanding of warehouse processes • Forklift and pallet jack experience a plus • Ability to work in a dynamic, deadline-oriented environment • Team player but able to work independently
