Description
The backdoor of my property has gaps between the door and the frame, which is letting in a lot of cold air during the winter. I’m looking to hire someone experienced to adjust the door frame (or door) as necessary to make it fit flush on all 4 sides.
Details:
• Door is standard size, 36” W x 80” H x 2” D
• The main gap is between the top of the door and the door frame – it’s ¾” H on the door-handle side, shrinking steadily to 0” at the hinge side
o The door seems to sit squarely at the bottom, there are small gaps on the door handle side as well
o I measured the door and it is exactly the same height on both sides (it hasn’t been shaved down on one side or the other)
o Based on it sitting square on the bottom and both sides, and the door being the exact same height on both sides, I THINK it’s the top of the door frame that needs to be adjusted
If this is something you could help me out with and could give me an initial price estimate to do it that would be greatly appreciated!
