Full-time position available today for experienced Building Maintenance / Janitorial Service / All-Around Handyman for our high-end, award winning CORVETTE, CLASSIC, HOT ROD, and MUSCLE CAR shop just west of Ft Lauderdale Executive Airport. The work includes supporting everything a busy and growing automotive shop needs - from mopping floors and keeping the place clean, including rest rooms (and by clean we mean spotless) to handling the carpentry, plumbing, and electrical maintenance needs. Our cars need to be washed, waxed, and moved around, the trash needs to be taken out, parts need to be boxed and made ready for shipping, and sometimes heavy parts and body panels need to be shuffled around. (Obviously, some muscle would come in handy.) All of this needs to be done carefully, as we have really expensive cars all over the shop - some worth a million dollars or more. This is a busy shop. Stuff happens. You need to remain in control. You must have your own tools, a valid driver's license and clean driving record, reliable transportation, and references. References and background will be checked. Listening skills and an excellent command of English are essential, and you can't be late for work. If you know your way around automotive classics, that is a big plus. But first and foremost you need to be a great all-around shop guy willing to get down and dirty on occasion. In business for 49 years in the Ft Lauderdale area, and with fourteen technicians and millions of dollars of cars under roof, our 20,000 sq foot facilities are smoke, alcohol, and drug free.
