Free Market Institute Speaker Series — December 1 Ryan A. Bourne Presents 'Economics in One Virus'The Free Market Institute will host Ryan A. Bourne, R. Evan Scharf Chair for the Public Understanding of Economics at the Cato Institute. Mr. Bourne will deliver a public lecture based on his book, Economics in One Virus: An Introduction to Economic Reasoning through COVID-19, in which he draws on the dramatic events of 2020 to bring to life some of the most important principles of economic thought. The lecture will take place on Thursday, December 1, 2022, from 5:30 – 6:30 PM, in the Houston Harte University Center - CJ Davidson Conference Center on the Angelo State University campus. Mr. Bourne will also be available for a book signing at 4:45 PM prior to the public lecture. His book, Economics in One Virus: An Introduction to Economic Reasoning through COVID-19, will be available for purchase on-site beginning at 4:30 PM. This event is free and open to the Angelo State University community and the general public. (ASU students attending for extra credit are encouraged to pre-register and arrive early for check-in.)
