Description
Only serious, fully developed and career minded vocalists should respond.
I have good players wanting to get started but we need the singer to make things happen.
The goal is write, record, tour, repeat and make a very good living at it, starting with a seven or eight song fast paced rockin' set that knocks out any competing band in ten seconds flat. To fully develop and rehearse/refine the set should take six months but it could be less time. This may seem slow but it's not. You want to be out there with all the kinks worked out so it sounds great. I can get warm up gigs with back catalog touring acts 1000-2500 people in the audience.
Performance background, with pitch stability; having vocal training would be optimal as I've encountered amateurs and dabblers who obviously love music and singing but they are off key, all over the place and can't hit or hold notes or hit notes accurately when dealing with intervals.
Bring a unique rocky, edgy, melodic, soulful, swinging vibe, deliver the hooks and embellish with wails screams growls purrs snarls sneers hollers yowls cries and whatever else you can dig out of yourself.
Generic sounding, Bel Canto, Broadway Theater style vocals, overloaded with vibrato, not needed. It's not the big band era anymore. Be inventive and creative.
