Description
Anakin needs to find a home where he will be the only dog in the house. He’s not necessarily dog aggressive all the time, but when he’s around a group of dogs he will pick a dog and nag them. If it gets far enough, he’ll start a fight with that dog and forever hold a grudge. From then on, when he sees that dog, his only objective is to fight. I thought I was safe with the dogs in my household because when he did fight my corgi over a toy/food, he would get over it. I thought it was only to ‘outsider’ dogs. I was wrong. Him and my Saintberdoodle got into a big fight and Anakin put a big gash into my saintberdoodles ear and bit through the whole ear in another spot. My Saintberdoodle then grabbed him by the neck and shook, not letting go. It was scary. Now they can’t stand the sight of each other. I can’t keep them separated because my Saintberdoodle jumps over the gate, so I’m afraid something will happen when I’m not home. Anakin is currently crated, and has to be crated all day. It’s not fair to continue like this for Anakin. They’re both stressed, and my corgi is feeling the tension and not acting herself. He needs to go to a home where he’s the only dog in the household. I don’t want him going from home to home to home when he starts a fight with a dog in the same house and can no longer be around that dog. He can still be around and play with other dogs, but he’s moody. He needs his own space, his own home. He loves his people though, which makes this SO hard to do. Once he gets used to you, he’ll love you to no end. He gives the best kisses. Doesn’t like cuddled, but will lay next to you all day. •3 years (we put his birthday as November 10th) •Shiba mix (we think he could be mixed with husky, not sure though) •Neutered •Roughly 30 pounds •Crate trained, can’t hold his bladder for long periods of time. 4 hours, 5 hours max I’d say. •Kid friendly •Will chase cats. Never hurt my cats but I also never gave him a chance to so I can’t be sure he WON’T hurt a cat. •High prey drive with small animals outside •Good at finding ways to escape the fence, fits through small gaps in my chain link fence. Would probably do best with a wooden privacy fence. Or lots of walks if no fence is available. •HAS to be on a leash when not contained outside. He will run. He eventually comes back to me when he gets lose, but a new owner would have a harder time getting him back. •$100 rehoming fee
