Description

Who this Anywhere Project is for: Ages 2-12. Not sure if this project is the right fit for your kids? Email us with questions at [email protected]. What you'll be doing: Help families bring joy to their children this holiday season by donating and/or purchasing 5+ gently used toys and making holiday cheer cards. Then deliver them at our drive-thru Toy Drive Parade, benefiting children of individuals served by Columbus Recreation and Parks and The Open Shelter. When you'll be doing it: This Anywhere Project can be done at home, school, or wherever you are! Deliver toy donations curbside at our drive-thru Toy Drive Parade on Saturday, December 17th between 2:00pm - 3:30pm at the Seeds of Caring's office in Worthington. Seeds of Caring volunteers will be there to greet your family with holiday signs, collect your donations curbside, and give you a special holiday gift! How it all works: Once you have completed registration, you will receive a confirmation email from Eventbrite with a link to your service packet. This packet includes project instructions, guided discussions and more. If for some reason you cannot access this file, please email [email protected] for assistance. The meaning-making: Engaging children’s hearts and minds before getting their hands active with service is a vital step in raising caring, compassionate humans. In every Seeds of Caring service packet, you'll find quick, easy-to-use guides to support you in leading meaning-making conversations! This project's guided discussion focuses on poverty and service. Approximate Cost: Free, select 5+ of your best gently used toys and use craft supplies on hand to decorate cheer cards. Why you'll be invited to donate: Every time we're able to design, coordinate, and offer an opportunity for kids to give back, it's with the help of supporters like you. Please consider making a generous gift to help us continue to empower kids to create a kinder community with their hearts, hands, and minds.
