Florida Ag Research (An Ag Metrics Group Company) is seeking a farm labor employee to work at its scientific research stations in Thonotosassa, FL and Dover, FL. Primary Tasks: • Maintain commercial quality plantings of seasonal vegetables, strawberries, citrus, turf grass, ornamentals, and other various crops. • Planting, seeding, harvesting, staking, tying, pruning, weeding, fertilizing and watering. • Installing, maintaining and removing commercial farming irrigation. • Cleaning, washing, and maintaining farm and lab equipment. Qualifications: • Must be able to do physical work required to establish, maintain, and remove research plots, including lifting up to 50 lbs., stooping and walking in sandy fields during warm Florida conditions and daytime temperatures. • Flexibility to work long hours, holidays, and weekends as necessary; • Must be a team-player, willing to collaborate on any and all tasks required for maintaining the highest standards of landscape and farm operations. • Must be authorized to work in the United States. • Must have reliable transportation to commute to and from work and between work sites (5 miles) Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour, depending on experience Schedule: 8 hour shift and Overtime Work Locations: Two main research stations (5 miles apart) and occasionally offsite in commercial farms.
