2022 Medals & Awards CeremonyThis banquet will be our opportunity to give the appropriate recognition to our employees by handing out awards and recognize events that occurred throughout the 2022 year. This event does have a capacity limit so please RSVP as soon as possible if you are interested in attending. Each fire personnel will be allowed one guest. Please choose someone special to you to come and celebrate your hard work and dedication to the community of Greensboro. All sworn personnel will be required to wear Class A Uniform and non-sworn personnel (employees and guests) are asked to dress in cocktail attire. This event will be catered so please come hungry! There will be a special guest speaker and a photobooth to enjoy with your guest. The Medals & Awards Committee has worked hard to re-brand this event. Personnel from every level have given input and expressed their ideas on how to bring this event back in a grand way. We hope that you will come and see for yourself the time, effort and concern that each person has put into making this event ours again. Dinner4:00 pm - 5:00 pm NOLA Catering The 2022 Greensboro Fire Department Medals & Awards Ceremony will be catered by NOLA Catering. If you have any food allergies or preferences, please reach out to a Medals & Awards Committee Member. Welcome5:00 pm - 5:10 pm Nick Jackson, the Medals & Awards Chair will welcome the speakers to the podium. Years of Service Recognition5:10 pm - 5:20 pm Fire Chief Jim Robinson will recognize years of service for those who are in attendance. Yearly Award Recognition5:20 pm - 5:30 pm Greensboro City Manager, Tai Jaiowbo will hand out this years, "of the year award" recipients. Keynote Speaker5:30 pm - 5:50 pm Andrew experienced an accident that changed his life. After Greensboro Fire Fighters pulled him out of a 1050 PI, he is excited to speak about his experience and the impact that the crew played on his life. Closing Remarks5:50 pm - 6:00 pm Chief Church will close out the Medals & Awards Ceremony.
