Description

As human beings, we long for connection. We need a sense of belonging, of meaning and purpose in order to thrive. Without these things we can drift into despair and life can feel too difficult to navigate. We need a safe space to express our emotions: the fear, the anger, the grief, the joys and victories in our lives, small and large. Our gratitude for waking with the new day, a kindness shown to us, or perhaps respite from a heavy burden. We need a place to be witnessed and to bear witness. And we need a place where we can experience resilience and find some peace in our hearts so that we can return to our homes, our relationships, our jobs, and our communities renewed... filled with hope and purpose. Sitting in the presence of Sacred Fire rekindles that spark within us. It deepens our connection with Divine regardless of our spiritual/ faith tradition. We invite you to experience this powerful medicine. PLEASE READ THE IMPORTANT INFORMATION THAT APPEARS BELOW... Please arrive at 5:30 PM to prepare our Hearth. Upcoming Fires and Events: December Full Moon Women's Fire: Wednesday December 7December Men's and Women's Community Fire: Saturday, December 17We are offering Huichol Art for sale! In the Sierra Madre of Mexico, the Huichol people are living as they have for thousands of generations, in communion with nature and each other. Their lives center around sacred rituals and tradition, everything from planting corn to embroidering clothes done in a sacred way, their artwork alive with their experience of the Divine. The Huichol Art Project was founded as part of Blue Deer's charitable giving to support the Huichol's way of life. Through this project, we create markets in the United States and internationally for the sale of their sacred artwork. This enables many Huichol families to remain in their homeland and maintain their lifeways. We make two to three trips to the Huichol homelands each year to purchase directly from the artists. These beautiful works of art make lovely and meaningful gifts to share throughout the year. Please consider supporting the Huichol Art Project with your gift giving... Cash, checks and credit cards are accepted.
