Women have extraordinary innate gifts. It is in the darkness of the womb that our creativity comes forth. Here, new dreams are dreamt. Our inner knowing resides here and connects us to the sacred feminine and the Great Mystery. Coming together as women, a door is opened. In the presence of Sacred Fire, we safely hold space for and witness one anothers' journeys. The medicine of the Sacred Fire brings forth what we need to speak in front of our sisters and to the Fire. Emotional blocks, stuck energies lift and move. Our hearts feel lighter. We feel more connected and restored to walk in the world in a good way. We hope you'll join us for this powerful, nourishing and healing experience. Please reserve your seat so that we can prepare for parking and create a welcoming space for you! Out of respect for our space and those gather, we will be "closing the door" at 6 PM. Please allow pleny of time for travel, parking and getting comfortable for our time together. You're also invited to help sweep the hearth, stack firewood and gather kindling. Many hands make light work! Thank you!! Our Huichol Art Boutique has been created by Huldah and Shereen and you can now purchase these beautiful treasures from 5:30 PM - 6 PM before the fires!!! In the Sierra Madre of Mexico, the Huichol people are living as they have for thousands of generations, in communion with nature and each other. Their lives center around sacred rituals and tradition, everything from planting corn to embroidering clothes done in a sacred way, their artwork alive with their experience of the Divine. ​The Huichol Art Project was founded as part of Blue Deer's charitable giving to support the Huichol's way of life. Through this project, we create markets in the United States and internationally for the sale of their sacred artwork. This enables many Huichol families to remain in their homeland and maintain their lifeways. We make two to three trips to the Huichol homelands each year to purchase directly from the artists.
