Each year, the University of Minnesota's Model United Nations Club hosts a seminar dedicated to human rights. This year, the seminar will focus on inequity in education in Minnesota, across the U.S. as well as globally. The purpose of this seminar is to expand awareness on inequality within the education system both at home and abroad. Due to this, the seminar will host speakers from the Minnesota government and legislature as well as speakers from local organizations working to decrease the academic achievement gap in Minnesota.
