Throughout 2022, the Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education has conducted a comprehensive birth-to-workforce scan of Thomasville and Thomas County on behalf of the Thomasville Community Resource Center and Imagine Thomasville. After dozens of interviews with community members from all sectors and a series of focus groups with business and industry, parents, and others, we are excited to release our findings to the community at large. This community scan looks at labor and educational trends for Georgia in the post-pandemic environment, as well as specific data for Thomasville – Thomas County and neighbors. The presentation will also reveal community insights gathered through person-to-person and group interviews, identifying challenges the community faces as well as the vibrant strengths the community can draw from in addressing them. Participants will be challenged to align efforts to address shared challenges through strategic partnerships and collaborative approaches to strengthening the workforce pipeline.
